12th International Symposium on Permafrost Engineering
1. BACKGROUND
The International Symposium on Permafrost Engineering (ISPE) is originated from the China-Russia bilateral academic conferences. Russia held the 1st conference in Chita in 1993. Successively they were held from the second to the eleventh, in Harbin China (1996), Chita Russia (1998), Lanzhou China (2000), Yakutsk Russia (2002), Lanzhou China (2004), Chita Russia (2007), Xi’an China (2009), Mirny Russia (2011), Harbin China (2014), and Magadan Russia (2017).
The 12th International Symposium on Permafrost Engineering (ISPE 2024) will be held in Lanzhou, China on Oct 11-13, 2024 to further research on interactions between frozen ground in cold region and the environment, engineering, climate, and ecology, and to deepen the scientific and technical exchanges and cooperation in the fields of permafrost science and engineering between permafrost communities.
